Day 2: Brtonigla – Motovun - Poreč – Brtonigla (B, L, D)

After breakfast served on the hotel terrace, we leave for Motovun, a picturesque little town of ancient roots, within medieval walls. Motovun is situated at the crossroads of the three so-called Dragon's furrows, the Earth's energetic meridians considered to have a beneficial and relaxing influence and to boost creativity and meditation. Thousand-year long legends are there for you while you walk in Motovun and on Istrian hills. Olive oil tasting and lunch are organised with one of the best world olive growers who was awarded at Flos Olei 2011 Competition. You will learn something new about olive oil whose nutrients are beneficial for human health, and belong to the Mediterranean cuisine. We will learn a bit about pairing of olive oil and food, hear something about truffles. After Motovun, we go to Poreč - sightseeing of Poreč and its most beautiful sacral architecture, UNESCO-protected Euphrasian Basilica. Lunch at restoran. This is followed by free time for a bicycle ride, a stroll or a visit and wine tasting with another specific Istrian winemaker close to Poreč. His wines (Malvasia, Teran/Terrano, Merlot, etc.) are ripe, refined and characterised by strong expression of authenticity. Dinner in the hotel with a short course of cooking and wine pairing; dinner follows.

Morning yoga optional, breakfast served on the hotel terrace, and the visit to the estate of one of the most promising young winemakers follows. Wine tasting and light lunch. Pula – amphitheatre: We go on to the three thousand-year old city of Pula, the low-profile centre of Istria. Its landmark and the central sightseeing point is the ancient Roman amphitheatre structure (Croatian Arena/Colosseum) built in the 1st century AD, one of the world best preserved monuments of the kind. After the sightseeing, we are all going for coffee to the Roman Forum, and then we have the free afternoon until dinner time. Dinner is served in the Croatian best-rated restaurant in the recent years; it is a perfect example of innovative and creative cuisine.

Day 4: Brtonigla – Brijuni Islands – Vodnjan - Rovinj – Brtonigla (B, L, D)

Today we head southwards for the estate of the winemaker without whose wines and influence the whole eno-gastro experience of Istria would not be the same. After wine tasting visit of National Park of Brijuni Archipelago. The Archipelago boasts its fascinating nature, culture and history. Its most attractive underwater life is the reason why it was listed as the National Heritage in 1983; moreover there is the ornithological reserve and safari park, one of the oldest olive trees in Europe, numerous beaches, many historic buildings ranging from Illyrian hill-fort and ancient Roman country villa to the present day; during the reign of Josip Broz Tito the islands were visited by more than 90 presidents and prime ministers. All this makes it a unique place in the world. The exciting afternoon continues in equally interesting Vodnjan where we visit another top Istrian and world olive grower on his estate. A visit to the plantation, and a guided tasting of olive oils. At dusk we go sightseeing in Rovinj, itself a monument of culture, the sight that will impress everybody.Dinner is served in a restaurant by the sea.

Day 5: Brtonigla – Brijuni Islands – Vodnjan - Rovinj – Brtonigla (B, L, D)
